Question 1

What does Adaptadoc do?

Accepted Answer

Adaptadoc checks your Word, PDF and PowerPoint files against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, fixes what it can automatically, and returns a corrected copy along with a plain-English report of every change. Anything that needs a human judgment is listed in the report for you.

Question 2

Which file types are supported?

Accepted Answer

Word documents (.docx), PDFs (.pdf) and PowerPoint decks (.pptx), up to 50 MB. Older formats like .doc, .ppt or .pages aren't supported — save them in the modern format first.

Question 3

What gets fixed automatically?

Accepted Answer

Things like missing alt text on images, fake headings made from big bold text, missing table header rows, low color contrast, missing document language and title, decorative images marked as such, and vague link text. Your layout and content are not changed — only the accessibility layer.

Question 4

What if my document can't be processed?

Accepted Answer

A few documents are turned away with a clear message and no credits are spent: scanned PDFs and password-protected files. Remove the password or use a text-based PDF and try again.

Question 5

How do credits work?

Accepted Answer

A credit is spent only when you run the accessibility check — uploading is free. Word pages and PowerPoint slides cost 1 credit each; PDF pages cost 2. A 10-page Word document costs 10 credits; a 10-page PDF costs 20.

Question 6

Do credits expire?

Accepted Answer

No. Credits you buy stay on your account until you spend them.

Question 7

What are the free credits?

Accepted Answer

Every new account starts with 5 free credits so you can try the service on a real document. They're granted once, when the account is created — they don't renew, and deleted-and-recreated accounts don't get a fresh batch.

Question 8

Is there a subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. You buy credit packs one at a time and use them whenever you like. Start on the pricing page.

Question 9

What if I need a refund?

Accepted Answer

If a charge went wrong or a document couldn't be repaired, contact us and we'll make it right — refunds return the matching credits to your balance, or the payment itself where appropriate.

Question 10

Who can see my documents?

Accepted Answer

Only you. Files are stored privately against your account, and both the original and the accessible copy are deleted when you delete a document. Deleting your account removes every file and record we hold for you.

Question 11

Do you change my document's content?

Accepted Answer

No. Adaptadoc only adjusts the accessibility layer — tags, headings, alt text, contrast and metadata. Your text, layout and branding are untouched, and the original file is always kept alongside the repaired one.
